How to install Jenzabar on a Windows PC
Prerequisite: You must be a member of the JenzabarEX-Users group in order to install and run Jenzabar. If you aren't sure whether you are a member of that group, please email [email protected].
-Open a Web browser and navigate to https://links.gordon.edu/ex
-Click Install or Upgrade (in the middle of the page)
-You will be prompted to choose a location where you will save the setup.exe installer file for Jenzabar; choose a location where you can easily find it after downloading, such as your Desktop or Downloads folder
-Run the setup.exe file once it has finished downloading
-When prompted whether you would like to run the installer with elevated privileges, click Yes
-If Windows pops up a security prompt, click Yes again
-Click Install Jenzabar One (or Upgrade Jenzabar One if the product is already installed and you are doing an upgrade install)
-You will be prompted to temporarily disable your Avast antivirus; install will likely fail if Avast has not been temporarily disabled, so please take this opportunity to disable Avast by following the below steps:
-Locate the Avast icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen (it may be necessary to click the "^" to show more icons); the icon looks like this:
-Right-click on that Avast icon and choose Avast shields control > Disable for 10 minutes
-When prompted to confirm, click OK
-Once Avast has been disabled, click OK on the notification from the Jenzabar installer asking you to disable Avast
-A series of windows will now automatically open as the installer runs; do not click or interact with these windows, with the exception of clicking Yes, Allow, Run, or OK if you see any security prompts
-Once the install is complete, you will see a notification window saying Update successful!
-The Jenzabar window should now give the option to Launch Jenzabar One; click that button to run the application
-Enter your Gordon username (in the format firstname.lastname) and passphrase (same passphrase as your Gordon email, Go site, etc.), then click OK to launch the application
