-Open a Web browser and navigate to the following page: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/printers

-In the field marked Enter your product name, enter the exact HP printer model name as displayed on your printer itself (e.g., LaserJet 4100N, LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw, etc.) and then hit the Enter key

-The full driver or product installation software should be the top result on the next page that loads; click Download

-A "Save as" window will pop up; choose a location where it will be easy to find your downloaded file, such as your Desktop or Downloads folder

-Once the file is finished downloading, open the file and it will run the HP installer

-When prompted to specify how you would like to connect to the printer (the exact words may vary depending on what model of printer you're installing), specify that you are connecting over a network; if given the choice between connecting over a wired or wireless network, choose "wired network"

-You will need to enter the IP address for the printer you are installing; the IP addresses for most HP printers on campus can be found in this document

-If asked during the install process whether you would like to share the printer over the network, specify that you would not like to share it

-After the installer finishes installing the printer, you will be able to choose it within the print menu from any application on your computer
